OSHA Delays Construction Crystalline Silica Standard Enforcement

OSHA announced yesterday that additional guidance is necessary before enforcement begins on their updated crystalline silica standard. Enforcement was start on June 23, 2017, and has been delayed until September 23, 2017. OSHA recommends that employers continue to move towards the standard's new permissible exposure limit (PEL), and implement dust controls as needed.
